Health and Safety

Following the award winning recognition of our Health & Safety commitment we are continuously endeavouring to improve our standards.

Over the past few years we have put together many schemes and come up with ideas to improve health and safety matters, investing much hard work and dedication in training our employees to all appropriate health and safety standards and instilling in them a positive attitude towards the importance of having a safe work environment. The extent of our success is demonstrated by the fact that our accident record has reduced to virtually nil on all of our sites in the South of England; an almost unheard of statistic in our industry.

As a company, we have strict policies in place to ensure that we provide, on an ongoing basis, the right levels of training and awareness to our staff; this helps to being to light any issues that may cause a problem in the future, prevention always being better than cure. We carry out monthly audits on all our sites, with the results reviewed by clients, site managers and foremen alike, and any necessary changes are implemented immediately. We also make a commitment to improving the competencies and skills of our work force, by providing training and ensuring that they have the necessary skills to carry out their jobs from the onset.

With all our carefully set out procedures and policies in place and by employing a dedicated, in-house, Health and Safety Manager, we are able to be vigilant in our monitoring of all our sites, no matter what their size; keeping a permanent record of all health and safety procedures and the training of staff have been dual. We have increased our productivity, in terms of our meeting building programme schedules and been able to give assurance to our clients that our responsibility, in offering a safe working environment, offers them, in turn, peace of mind throughout the contract. The net result is an end product that everyone can be proud of.

Our key target for Health and Safety is nil accidents on site and making a site safe remains one of our top priorities. Our achieving this means we are well on our way to creating the skilled and productive work-force which ensures life is made easier for our clients.
